Check in & relax for a while then you will be going for a local sightseeing tour of Srinagar where you will be exploring the Mughal gardens of Kashmir like mentioned below and also you will be going to the famous Dal lake for shikara ride & then return back freshen up do your flavoursome dinner,Overnight at hotel.
The Mughal Gardens
The art of designing formal gardens which the Mughal (also spelt as Moghul) emperors expended such time and energy upon, reached its zenith in Kashmir. The Mughal gardens in Agra or Lahore may be very fine but only in Kashmir is the formal beauty of the gardens matched by the natural beauty of the surrounding countryside. The gardens follow a standard pattern with a central channel carrying water through the descending terraces in a delightful series of cascades, falls and pools.
Nishat Garden
Located on the bank of the Dal Lake, with the Zaberwan Mountains as its backdrop, Nishat Bagh is a garden of bliss that commands a magnificent view of the lake beneath the snowcapped Pir Panjal mountain range that stands far away to the west of the valley. The Bagh was designed and built in 1633 by Asif Khan, elder brother of Nur Jehan.
Cheshma Shahi
Cheshma Shahi (the royal spring), also called Cheshma Shahi, is one of the Mughal gardens built around a spring by Ali Mardan, a governor of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, in 1632. The garden is located in the Zaberwan Range, near Rajbhawan (Governor‘s house) overlooking Dal Lake in Srinagar, Kashmir.
Shankaracharya Temple
The Shankaracharya temple is the unique landmark of Srinagar. This temple is located on a sharp hill, about 1000 feet high overlooking the city. There are stone steps which will take you right on top where a small temple dedicated to Lord Shiva stands. This temple was built in the memory of the Shankaracharya who came to Kashmir from Kerala some 1200 years ago to revive Hinduism.
Dal lake
Dal is a lake in Srinagar (Dal Lake is a misnomer as Dal in Kashmiri means lake), the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir. The urban lake, is integral to tourism and recreation in Kashmir and is named the “Jewel in the crown of Kashmir” or “Srinagar’s Jewel”.The lake is also an important source for commercial operations in fishing and water plant harvesting.
Hazratbal Mosque
The Hazratbal Shrine, is situated on the left bank of the famous Dal Lake in Srinagar. This unmatched reverence is anchored in the love and respect for the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), whose Moi-e-Muqqadas, the sacred hair from the beard of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is preserved here.
The Hazratbal mosque is situated in Srinagar only 8 Kms from Lal Chowk and 7 Kms from Tourist Reception Center, on the western banks of the picturesque Dal Lake.
After having your appetizing breakfast, pack your bags & check out as its your second day you will be going in a houseboat Here, you will be staying amidst the Pir Panjal snow-capped ridges looking over from the west to south and the breath-taking Himalayan range standing on the east! When you see such a view, it means, you are in the beautiful Srinagar valley, the capital of heaven on earth called Kashmir. Overnight in Houseboat with delicious dinner.
Wake up do your mouth-lickering breakfast then it’s the time to check out from the hotel and you will be going to Sonamarg (2800Mtrs above sea level), which means ' meadow of gold ' has, as its backdrop, snowy mountains against a cerulean sky. The Sindh meanders along here and abounds with trout and mahseer, snow trout can be caught in the main river. The visitors can have access to snow which is furnished all over like a white carpet.Ponies can be hired for the trip up to Thajwas glacier a major attraction during thesummer months.In the evening return back to Srinagar.Dinner & overnight in sonamarg at hotel.
After having your delectable breakfast get transferred to Gulmarg (2730 Mtrs Above sea Level) ("Meadow of Flowers") is a town, a hill station, a popular skiing destination during winters. Gulmarg is famous because of its "Gulmarg Gondola," one of the highest cable cars in the world there you will go till Gondola Ride Upto First Phase which is included in your itinerary The first phase takes visitors from the town to Kungdoor station, halfway up the mountain. Phase two completes the journey from Kungdoor to near Apharwat peak & if you want to go there you have pay on your own to the second phase. In the evening return back.Dinner & overnight in Gulmarg at Hotel.
After having your luscious breakfast like its your last day check out from the hotel return back to srinagar check in and do whatever you want on your own go to Lal Chowk which is one of the most popular and oldest shopping places in Srinagar.
